Ceptor Gateway is a Reverse Proxy Server which is placed in front of your applications and/or APIs to protect them and provide Single Sign On (SSO) to them.
Ceptor Gateway provides this functionality by first establishing Sessions with end-users/callers, then it processes through any configured Locations where you decide which action to take for which requests.
Often you will proxy the request to one of the configured Destinations.
The Gateway also allows you to do manipulation of requests, aggregate API calls or offer advanced functionality via Pipelines and Tasks, Plugins or Scripts and Macros.
